Hi, I don't have the crashing problem that approx. 90% of the commentors do, but I do have a problem with the start-up time. I ran the no-ad fix for Windows Live Messenger 8.5, and I also disabled Sharing Folders (which wasn't using my CPU any, but DID knock down the RAM from 50Mb to 3Mb).

However, my messenger works just fine after it runs and it's worked just fine for the... six years I've had it? Runs perfectly. The thing that started recently was that whenever I click anything on the Start menu or Desktop to start Windows Live Messenger, that actual program won't show up for a minute or two. This is not how it acted before. It didn't start with anything specific that I remember and 8.5 ran just fine before. Any help with this? It's annoying that I can start Yahoo Instant MEssenger and AOL Instant Messenger in a flash, but not WLM.
